Doom meets King Kong in this tutorial that covers a combination of organic and hard surface modelling.
In the organic section you will learn how to create all the basic shapes and proportions of your character with nurbs primitives. Once you have the right shapes and size we'll convert all our nurbs into polygons to start attaching geometry and adding details.
Some of the tools will be covering are insert isoparm, detach surface, Split polyon tool, Cut polygon tool and sculpt Polygon tool. The mechanical parts follow later in the tutorial and show how to use nurbs curves to create bolts and cylinders. You will also use tools like extrude face and edge. Finally, you will learn how to light your model to achieve some great renders of all your hard work.
