Test Drive Version To install and use the system, you must be logged on to your PC as an administrator.
* Before installing the SAP Web Application Server 6.20 Test Drive Version, check the system requirements and make sure that there is no SAPDB installation on your local PC or the MiniWeb AS 6.20 system still installed. Please de-install the MiniWeb AS 6.10 prior to installing the MiniWeb AS 6.20 ABAP engine.

System Requirements
General Requirements
* Operating System:
Windows 2000 (Service Pack2 or higher);
Windows XP (Home or Professional);
* Internet Explorer 5.01 or higher
* At least 256 MB RAM
* At least 512 MB paging file
* At least 5.12 GB disk space
How to install :
(>120 MB DB software, >5.12 GB SAP data, 100 MB SAP GUI + temporary free space for the installation)
* The file C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\services (Windows 2000) or C:\Windows\system\32\drivers\etc\services (Windows XP) must not include an entry for port 3600.
* When installing the system on a network computer please make sure that in your host file
A possible entry can be excluded by using the symbol '#'.
* No SAPDB must be installed on your PC.
* The hostname of the PC must not be longer than 13 characters.
* The Network must be configured for installation and
the MS Loopback Adapter must be configured when you start the system without a network connection!
Special Requirements for Installations on Windows XP
* In the file C:\Windows\system\32\drivers\etc\hosts the current IP address and the host name must be defined as
* Open the network connectivity definition with start->control panel->network connections for defining the network connection. Select ->extended-> allow other users in network. Activate new configurations.
* Select remote desktop within extended configuration menu.

The whole installation takes about half an hour depending on system performance. Don't interrrupt the procedure, even if it seems to hang at certain points!
SAP Web Application Server 6.20 and SAP DB Installation
* Insert the Mini SAP Web Application Server CD1.
* Start
* Within SAPSetup, enter the target directory (Default: C:\MiniWAS).
Make sure you have enough free space (>= 5.12 GB) in this directory.
* Confirm/enter the CD drive for CD1, CD2 and CD3.
* Enter the target drive for SAP DB database software (Default: C:\).
* Insert the Mini SAP Web AS System CD1 when prompted to do so.
* If your installation terminated before it could be completed successfully, insert the Mini Web AS CD1.

Working with the Web Application Server
* After finishing the installation, you can logon to the SAP System and work in the ABAP Workbench. The BCUSER is registered as a developer for the Mini SAP Web Application Server. With this user name you can edit repository objects, as for example ABAP programs, in the customer name space (they must start with "Y" or "Z").
* In order to fill the tables of the flight data model you can run the SAPBC_DATA_GENERATOR program.
* Executable ABAP Examples are available in Transaction ABAPDOCU. Check the node ABAP in order to learn about handling in ABAP programs.
* When using BSP please secure that your local system is configured with a domain name like since the BSP infrastructure checks the existence of a domain name for beeing able to redirect request.
* You can execute a first BSP application test and create your own BSP applications.
Administrating the SAP System
