Alexei Antonov Classical Oil of Portrait of Anna

The workshop explains and demonstrates the Flemish technique in the process of painting a portrait of a beautiful young woman. I believe that the quality of the color layer and the likeness to the model in this portrait are exceptional (working in front of the camera, perhaps, makes one concentrate better).

The video workshop runs one hour, sixty minutes less than the previous workshop, but the amount and the quality of the text equals those of the previous workshop, thanks to my friend Vladimir Pavlov who translated the text from Russian and narrated it in English as brilliantly as he did in the first video.

Final Fantasy : The Spirits Within The Making Ony DVD

This movie turned out to be much better than we thought. Ignore the critics, this flick is way cool. If you’ve got even an inkling of the Final Fantasy series of videogames, you’ll catch enough of the jokes to make the viewing more than worthwhile (is there a ‘Cid’ in every FF Universe?). Nevertheless, the voice-acting is dead-on, the characters are good, and the computer animation simply rocks.

We’ve never seen CGI this good. Square goes as far as to animate a chase sequence with hand-held camera style action. As a result, there are many times where you’ll swear you’re watching live people, but nope, this is all computer generated. Yeah, the Gaia stuff gets a little heavy handed in the last half of the film, but the action and overall plot is as good as any Hollywood blockbuster and certainly a gigantic plus for the art of CGI films. Prove that CGI isn’t just Pixar putting out the latest kid-flick and get your hands on this adult-level and very well-made animated movie that will suck you into the action and not let go until the credits roll.

The miniturization of devices and structures will impact the speed of devices and information storage capacity. More importantly, though, nanotechnology should lead to completely new functional devices as nanostructures have fundamentally different physical properties that are governed by quantum effects. When nanometer sized features are fabricated in materials that are currently used in electronic, magnetic, and optical applications, quantum behavior will lead to a set of unprecedented properties. The interactions of nanostructures with biological materials are largely unexplored. Future work in this direction should yield enabling technologies that allows the study and direct manipulation of biological processes at the (sub) cellular level.

This book takes a closer look at a great variety of different strategies that are being pursued to assemble and organize nanostructures into larger assemblies and even into functional devices or materials.
